法国1

(9-12) Major emphasis is placed on developing the student’s ability to understand spoken French. Great stress is placed on correct pronunciation. The students are provided with limited facility in each of the four skills of language learning: listening, 阅读, 口语和写作.

(10-12) In 法国2, students emphasize the oral approach. 除了, the concepts of grammar studied on the first level are reviewed, 加固和扩展. Conversations, dialogues and drills are more expanded. We continue to deepen our study of French culture, geography and history.

(11-12) Students study a number of literary works which represent the French-speaking world as well as various regions of France. The course is designed to integrate the maturing language skills of the students with a growing understanding of the French speaking world. The course also presents a systematic review of the basic grammar of French together with intensive language practice to increase the student’s ability to handle everyday situations in French.

(11-12) This course is designed for serious students who wish to continue their study of French on the college level. The advanced curriculum will entail more detailed analysis of French structures and grammatical elements. Conversation skills, vocabulary development and more varied French idioms will be emphasized. Students will be required to do additional literary 阅读s and analysis of these works.

高级西班牙语2
先决条件: Pass the 西班牙语1 challenge exam.

(9-12) This class is conducted at an accelerated pace, 西班牙语专文, and is for students who have studied the Spanish language intensively in junior high or know and use Spanish at home and in the community. Students expand and develop vocabulary by conversing, 读短篇小说, 诗, 文学文章, 通过写日记, 信, 和论文. Students learn to compare, 对比, 解释, and support ideas using the appropriate terminology through presentations, 论文和辩论.

Students who successfully complete 高级西班牙语2 and 西班牙3 have the opportunity of taking the AP Spanish Language and 文化 course in their junior and senior years.

(11-12) Major emphasis is placed on the student’s ability to express him in oral and written forms on a limited number of literary works suited to his skill. Stress is also placed on the student’s ability to read and understand such literary works.
